BeTaMaXMaS is a fantastic holiday treat for those of us who grew up in the 80s. The He-Man and She-Ra Christmas Special in particular is a favorite of mine (in fact, Joey gave me the DVD a few Christmases back, thanks again!).
Laughing Squid sums it up nicely: “…takes you on a trip back to December 1988 to his wood panel basement where you can watch endless Christmas television specials (including commercials) recorded on his Betamax.”

Wait—italics can mean something different than saying the italicized word in an Italian accent? Oh brother. I have to get back that copy of my dissertation! New Yorker Cartoon Lounge

I posted a link to their new posters on International Talk Like A Pirate Day, but 826 Valencia also has a new line of great products for the discerning buccaneer. Scurvy Begone, Glass Eye Drops, Black Beard’s Beard Dye and more- they’ve got it all. And some great new t-shirts. Todd was in town yesterday for a 1203 meetup, and we stopped by to check it out.
