Mint.com
A quick recommendation for all those whose New Year’s resolutions included something about personal finance… Mint.com.
Erin & I have been using for the past six months or so, and although it’s sometimes sobering to really realize how much we’ve spent in a month on eating out, electronics or sporting goods, it’s the best tool I’ve found so far to get useful insights on where and how I spend my money.
It’s free and automatically syncs up with all of your bank accounts and credit cards.
They recently launched an iPhone app as well, which is awesome. At a glance you can check on your account balances, investments and how your spending compares to your monthly budget. (Numbers in screenshots below are not mine!).
