Over the Thanksgiving weekend, Nana dug some old cameras out of storage for me to fool around with and see if they still work. The haul includes a Brownie Six-20, a Minolta AL (with 45mm f/2 Rokkor lens), a Brownie Holiday Flash Outfit, a Yashica Auto Focus Motor, a Kodak Tele-Instamatic 708, and most interestingly, a twin-lens reflex Yashica 44A (like the one pictured above, photo via Mike Graham). There are quite a few examples of its output on Flickr. Now I just need to order some 127 format film (still made in Croatia!) to try it out. For film processing and scanning I like Oscar’s Photo Lab in SOMA.
