Waves to Wine 2008 Recap
As you may have heard, this past weekend I rode in Waves to Wine, a 150 mile two-day ride from San Francisco to Healdsburg in support of the National MS Society. It was my second year participating in the ride; like last year, I was joined by my constant biking cohort, Chris Marcellino. Erin rode this year as well, no small feat after only getting a bike a month ago! Erin’s cousin Matt and...

Osakana Tengoku
Tonight, Erin and I had dinner with Matt and Tadari at Sakana in SF. One of the sushi chefs is Yama san, formerly of Jidai-ya in Palo Alto where Shin used to take Tom, Rich and me all the time. Shin would order bizarre delicacies that weren’t on the menu, and many a good time were had. The name of the restaurant (the word for fish) reminded me of a song that was ubiquitous when I was...

p-r-o-p-s radio
Freddy Anzures, designer extraordinaire and all-around renaissance man, has been producing a podcast for the last couple of months. Each one has eight great cuts from original vinyl. In traditional Freddy form, it’s full of funk, disco, soul, afrobeat, breaks, jazz, electric boogaloo, ’70s monster rock and Daft Punk. Check it out!

Just click on the link above to donate. Thanks so much! My mom is a nurse, and when I was in high school she had a patient named Robin Peterson. Robin had MS. We became good friends with Robin and her dog Thor, and I used my...

Honeymoon in Iceland
I’ve posted photos from our honeymoon in Iceland! Erin and I spent 7 days in Iceland. After landing at Keflavik Airport, we immediately went to the Blue Lagoon for a satisfying soak. We then drove to Reykjavik where we spent two days walking around town and sampling the local fare (i.e. hot dogs), and had a couple of great meals at Einar Ben and Á Næstu Grösum. The lobster soup at Sægriffin...

Honeymoon in Paris
I’ve also posted photos from the second half of our honeymoon, in Paris. After we wrapped up our road trip in Iceland, we headed to Paris for the second half of our honeymoon. We buzzed around the city on the free bike system, Velib- it was a great way to get around, get familiar with the neighborhoods and get some exercise. We visited the Louvre and Musee D’Orsay, went to a great...
